Have you thought about selling prints of this? I would seriously consider buying one. (you can do it yourself, or there's a website called Deviantart which lets you submit artwork and offer a "print" option)
Andrei, great!!! as always... Just now we are working in a sequence from our film Donkey Xote in which appears the giants (mills) against Quixote... also epic. The post called Boredom is simply amazing.... One of my favourites. Magnificent!
This beautiful drawing illustrates an episode from Pushkin's poem RUSLAN AND LYUDMILA. This is a very famous and recognisable episode. Recently there was an intention to do the animated feature based on this poem. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruslan_and_Lyudmila_%28poem%29
Alexey, do you know if there are still plans to make this feature? Is the information in the link below up to date - is it likely to come out in 2007? http://www.kinoros.ru/db/movies/450/index.html?1170316013616
I ask because I maintain a wikipedia list of existing and upcoming animated feature-length films, but it's quite difficult to find information for Russian films online (perhaps, living in Russia, you have more knowledge of what's going on?). Here's the list, by the way: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_animated_feature_films
As far as I know there are about dozen of Russian animated features which were greenlighted recently. But it is true to be told that the number of really good artists is probably the same. So obviously the most of these animated features will not be finished. Some of then will not go further that script. The screenplay and teaser trailer for RUSLAN AND LYUDMILA was ready in 1998 but I really doubt that it will be released in 2007. There were not any news about beginning of production.
Alexey, do you know if the guys who were making "Gofmaniada" managed to get any funding since November? ie, this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gofmaniada
(sorry about the off-topic, just curious)
And has Soyuzmultfilm's landowner problem been resolved (I read a while back that some big company claimed that they owned their building)?
